About Us

Hello, My Name is Angela Egle, I am the founder and CEO of Plant Based Inc. My daughters and I have been members of the Colorado Springs Community since 2016 after relocating from Huntsville, AL. I have over 13 years of nursing experience and clinical management. My last nursing role was from 2020-2022  at Fort Carson as a LPN Supervisor assisting with launching and managing the Centralized Covid Testing Site. It was truly an honor supporting the Covid and Soldier Readiness Missions. I currently work as a government contractor supporting health informatics as a Clinical Functions Advisors for the Defense Health Agency.  

I grew up as a state side Military Service Member kid. Regardless where we were or what we had my mom taught us to always think of those less fortunate. My mom taught my sister and I at a young age to donate time to the community by providing companion visit at nursing homes and passing food and supplies to the unhoused members at local parks. As an adult and mother myself, I taught my daughters the same and added volunteering at local food banks. 

Over the years I developed a passion for agriculture and conservation.  Time spent in Alabama and Indiana allowed me the opportunity to acquire and learn how to farm and garden. The farm was small and simple. Together, my family and I learned how to love, trust something bigger than ourselves, work hard, receive and share the benefits of hard work.  The conservation and agriculture  skills I acquired in addition to my professional skills and passion for the planet and community birthed  Plant Based Inc. in 2023.

Plant Based Inc. was established with passion to give members in our growing community a "boot strap repair kit". I know it is challenging to pull yourself up by your boot straps if they are broken or can't support your weight. Plant based Inc. believes that every person should have access to food/water, shelter, clothing and safety as a basic human right. We aim to provide those resources to the member in our community with a housing first approach.   

At Plant Based Inc. We believe that everyone should have access to the basic needs for survival. We want to provide the un-housed members of our community emergency shelter, affordable housing, and coordinate resources for additional needs.  

Plant Based Inc. pledges to protect the planet by including Urban Conservation in our housing. We are restoring established buildings within the community to provide affordable green housing that reduces the communities carbon foot print,
